Competitor Analysis
Before I went to redesigning the pages, I made it a point to check competitor’s websites and to check Nielsen IT’s Analytics data. Checking competitor’s websites helped us come up with ideas how to layout pages in a way that is easy to read and accessed by the users.
Data Analysis
Created a report showing Nielsen IT’s website performance prior to redesign. Unfortunately, Analytics was set up not tracking any conversions. Thus, I checked out user behaviours to help me come up with a design that aligns itself to customer interaction for potential (improved) conversions. Prior to redesign, I had to ‘clean’ Analytics historical data to remove unnecessary ‘readings’ that can skew data interpretation.
